Biography
My name is Chris Vervaet, and I'm a resident of Howell, Michigan. I was born and raised in Brighton, and have lived in several places in my adult life. I moved to Howell about 10 years ago with my wife and son, after we lived in Spain for 8 years. I grew up learning to hunt and fish, and my father had started me in archery at a very young age. I learned how to shoot a compound bow, and then moved into a recurve. I also have family that are life members at the club, and my Uncle had earned his life membership by donating the 3D target stands he had made. I also have a cousin that was a board member for about 8 years and is also a life member. My wife and I love to shoot indoor archery, and are looking forward to outdoor archery events. I love to shoot trap, pistol, rifle and shotgun as well. I own a small side business and restore firearm stocks, reblue barrels and restore old, rusty and damaged firearm components. I hope to see most of you around the club and am always here to help. I also am a member of the American Legion, as I am a US Navy veteran. I love to volunteer and help out when needed, and am always looking to lend a hand where needed.
